Jenna Edwards
Jenna founded The For a Day Foundation and currently serves as the Executive Director. Starting with her childhood pageant tiaras, Jenna has built For a Day into a national organization. For more about For a Day's founding story, click here.
In addition to her work with For a Day, Jenna produces a cooking YouTube channel and is a hand model in NYC. She has previously served as Associate Dean of Entrepreneurship at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where she was also trained as a Health Coach.
Jenna and her husband foster rescued cocker spaniels and enjoy spending time at the family home in France. Raised in Mississippi, she is a graduate of the University of Miami. While in Florida, she represented the state at both the Miss America and Miss USA pageant in 2004 & 2007, respectively, becoming only the third woman in the state's history to do so.
Andy McClintock
Andy McClintock currently serves as the Director of Enrollment Research and Policy for the New York City Department of Education. In this position, he oversees the research that drives policies for NYCDOE’s 3K for All, Pre-K for All, kindergarten, and Gifted & Talented admissions processes. Andy and his team work to provide families with more and better information so that they can make informed choices about which schools to attend.
Andy began his career as a Teach for America corps member, teaching first grade at Achievement First Bridgeport Academy in Bridgeport, Connecticut. In that role, he developed a love for working with children and an understanding of the importance of play in helping children cope with stress. Andy joined the For a Day Foundation to continue his work supporting children in this community, helping the foundation in its mission to provide emotionally therapeutic experiences to seriously ill children. Andy’s background in research allows him help For a Day evaluate its programming and quantify the impact of its work.
Andy lives in New York City, New York. He received his B.A. in Government and Economics and his Masters in Policy Analysis & Management from Cornell University.
tyler forst
Tyler joined Deloitte after graduating from Cornell’s Sloan Program in Health Administration in 2014. As a Manager in Deloitte Consulting’s Healthcare practice, Tyler serves large regional and national health systems on their journey’s for improvement; helping them identify and achieve savings and service level improvements across clinical and non-clinical functions.
His passion for health care stems from his own time as a childhood cancer patient, having battled Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the age of 12. Serving on the board of For-A-Day foundation has allowed Tyler to give back to the communities that inspired him to pursue a career in health care.
Tyler lives in New York City with his wife (Rachel) and their dog (Goose). Both Tyler and Rachel hail from the West Coast but have been exploring all that the city has to offer over the last 8+ years. They enjoy the outdoors by skiing in the winter and finding water in the summer.
Michael Passalacqua
Michael Passalacqua is a member of CrossTower's legal team. CrossTower is a digital asset capital markets firm on a mission to mainstream digital asset trading and investing. Prior to joining CrossTower, Michael worked in the legal department at Progyny, a fertility benefits company. There, he played an active role in preparing the company for its IPO on Nasdaq. Previously, Michael was with prominent law firms in New York City.
Michael received a J.D., cum laude, from Pace University School of Law and a B.A. from Fordham University. Michael successfully passed the October 2020 New York State bar exam and is awaiting his admission to the New York State bar.
Barry Levy
Barry Levy works for Gilead Sciences as a Senior Regional Director, managing a Manhattan based sales team who specialize in Infectious Disease. Within Gilead, he has gained experience in Sales Leadership, Commercial Training, Marketing and Strategy. Barry has extensive experience with commercial strategy, account management and brings over 17 years of Bio-Tech/Pharmaceutical experience to FADF, to include Hospital account management. Barry's passion and commitment to work in areas of unmet medical need has brought him to join FADF.
Debbie edwards - co-founder & retired board member
Debbie Edwards is from Rankin County, Mississippi and has lived in Tallahassee, Florida, and Collierville, Tennessee. She returned to Mississippi in 2014 and resides in Brandon with her husband, Tom.
She and Tom have one daughter, Jenna, who lives in New York City, and one son, Thomas, who lives in Florence. Her son Johnny was lost in 2016.
Debbie has been a real estate legal secretary for many years and is now retired. She is a member of the Brandon Garden Club where she serves
on the Executive Board and is also on the Board of her HOA. Since its inception in June 2000, Debbie has been Vice-President of For a Day.
While living in Tennessee, Debbie held For a
Day” events at St. Jude's, LeBonheur Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, and Target House. In her spare time, she enjoys learning how to play bridge and tending to her flower garden and tomatoes.
